Official: Kia EV2 Teaser Released – Small Electric SUV Debuts Jan 9
Recently, we learned from official sources that Kia has released teaser images of the Kia EV2. Furthermore, the new car will make its official debut at the Brussels Motor Show on January 9.
Reportedly, Kia positions this vehicle as a pure electric small SUV, dedicated specifically to the European market.

Platform and Pricing
Technically, the vehicle will be produced on the E-GMP platform. We expect it to offer two battery pack options: 40kWh and 58kWh.
Regarding pricing, the starting price will likely sit around 30,000 Euros (approximately 251,000 RMB). In addition, Kia plans to release high-performance GT versions of the EV3, EV4, and EV5.
Design: “Opposites United”
Visually, the front face adopts the family’s latest “Opposites United” design language. Specifically, the dual-strip LED daytime running lights offer strong recognition when lit.
Moreover, the body shape looks relatively boxy, which provides ample riding space inside. Notable details include:
- Five-spoke semi-closed wheels.
- Blackened body details that create a floating roof design.
- Taillights that cleverly combine with the rear wheel arches, lowering the visual center of gravity while widening the visual effect.

Powertrain and Tech
Under the hood, the new car uses a 400V architecture on the E-GMP platform. Consequently, it is expected to possess a pure electric range exceeding 483km.
Finally, it will provide V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) and V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) functions, enhancing its utility for modern users.
