All-new BYD Han red sedan front view, new generation BYD Han with lidar on roof

Recently, images of the all-new BYD Han in metal have surfaced online. The new model is set to receive comprehensive upgrades, featuring a refreshed exterior, larger dimensions, and upgraded powertrains, giving the entire vehicle a significantly more premium feel.

Refreshed Exterior Design and Expanded Proportions

First, the front fascia of the new Han looks fuller and more rounded. Additionally, a full-width light bar connects the deeper, striking headlights. Meanwhile, the front bumper exudes a distinct sporty aura. The car still uses the Chinese character “Han” (汉) as its front logo. Moreover, designers placed a LiDAR sensor on the roofline above the windshield.

On the side, the vehicle’s waistline looks much more muscular. The lower edges feature a hidden window frame design, complemented by new semi-hidden door handles and large multi-spoke alloy wheels. Regarding dimensions, the new car measures 5,156 mm in length, 1,969 mm in width, and 1,507 (or 1,492) mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,030 mm. Compared to the current generation, it is 161 mm longer, 59 mm wider, and 12 mm taller, with a wheelbase extended by 110 mm. The size of the all-new Han positions it between the Han L and the “Da Han”; its overall specifications are larger than the Han L, while its total length is 100 mm shorter than the Big Han. At the rear, the vehicle retains the classic Chinese knot taillight signature, continuing the full-width design.
