On November 24, BYD’s compact SUV—the Yuan UP DM-i—officially made its debut in Europe. Notably, it features a pure electric range of 90km and a comprehensive combined range of 1,000km.

However, the Yuan UP is currently only available in a pure electric version in the domestic Chinese market. To be specific, there are 4 models currently on sale, with a price range of 74,800 to 119,800 RMB.

Exterior Design: A Continuation of Style

Powertrain Expectations

Nevertheless, it is expected to adopt the fifth-generation DM technology, equipped with a hybrid system composed of a 1.5L engine. By referencing parameters from other current models, the engine’s maximum power is likely to be 74 kW. Simultaneously, the motor’s maximum power is expected to be 160 kW.
