2025 Guangzhou Auto Show: Chery Fengyun A9 EV Production Model Debuts
On November 21, the Chery Fengyun A9 EV production version made its official debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show.
This model is the production evolution of the Chery Fengyun E05 concept car. It retains many of the concept’s stunning design elements while adding practical features. The vehicle will feature the advanced “Falcon 700” intelligent driving system. It will be available in both pure electric (EV) and extended-range (EREV) versions.
Price and Launch Date The estimated price is around the 150,000 RMB level. According to official sources, the Fengyun A9 EV will launch in the first half of 2026, likely within the second quarter.
Exterior: Sporty and Aerodynamic
The new model features a closed front grille design.
- Lighting: The headlights are narrow and sharp. They contain multi-spoke LED daytime running lights. The eye-opening angle is wider than the concept car, making it more practical for daily use.
- Aerodynamics: Vertical air vents on the bumper guide airflow to reduce drag. The center features a trapezoidal intake with active grille shutters.
- Profile: The side profile resembles a fastback coupe. The roofline flows smoothly into the rear. It features a roof-mounted LiDAR, semi-concealed door handles, and 19-inch low-drag wheels.
Dimensions While not yet official, data suggests the A9 measures 4860/1890/1480mm with a 2900mm wheelbase. This positions it as a medium-to-large sedan.
Interior and Intelligence
The official interior has not been revealed yet. However, it is expected to feature Chery’s “AI Emotional Cabin.” This system provides distinct modes for driving, resting, and entertainment.

- EREV (Range Extender): Equipped with 18kWh or 29.9kWh batteries. These offer pure electric ranges of 135 km y 210 km (CLTC) respectively.
- Pure EV: Equipped with a 58kWh battery. It offers a range of over 500 km (CLTC).
