This week, from September 15th to 21st, we’re bringing you a preview of upcoming new car launches. Over a dozen significant new vehicles will hit the market or be unveiled, including the 2026 Voyah Dreamer, the 2026 Seal 07 DM-i, the Haval Dog Plus, the Buick Envision L7, the Luxeed S9T, and the GAC Trumpchi S9. Audi E5 Sportback: High-Tech and High-Performance
The Audi E5 Sportback is already available for pre-order. It comes in four configurations with pre-sale prices ranging from ¥235,900 to ¥319,900. Built on the intelligent digital platform co-developed by SAIC and Audi, the E5 Sportback will be produced at the SAIC Audi manufacturing base. The vehicle’s design draws inspiration from the AUDI E concept model.
For technology, it boasts 27 perception sensors, including a long-range LiDAR, three long-range millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 11 cameras. Dimensions are 4881mm (L), 1960mm (W), 1479mm (H), and a 2950mm wheelbase. Inside, the car features a digital instrument cluster, a central control screen, and a passenger entertainment screen, all integrated into a single wide “Pterygoid” display for a strong sense of technology.
In terms of power, the E5 Sportback offers four different versions. The single-motor models have a maximum power of 220 kW (299 hp) and 300 kW (408 hp). The dual-motor models have a total maximum power of 386 kW (525 hp) and 579 kW (787 hp). For batteries, the base model has a 76 kWh LFP battery, giving it a 618km pure electric range. The other models use ternary lithium batteries with capacities of 83 kWh and 100 kWh, providing ranges of 623km, 773km, and 647km, respectively.
Geely Galaxy M9: A Plug-in Hybrid for the Masses
The Geely Galaxy M9 has a pre-sale price of ¥193,800 to ¥258,800. This is a large, six-seat plug-in hybrid SUV. It features the Qianli Haohan H5 driver assistance system, supporting city-wide mapless NOA. The exterior adopts the Galaxy family design language, and the roof is equipped with LiDAR. Dimensions are 5205mm (L), 1999mm (W), 1800mm (H), and a 3030mm wheelbase.
Inside, the M9 has a 12.66-inch embedded digital instrument panel and a large 30-inch integrated media touchscreen that extends to the passenger side. Power comes from a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5T four-cylinder turbocharged engine and three electric motors. The engine has a maximum power of 120 kW. The total system power is 649 kW, with a maximum torque of 1165 Nm. It offers two battery capacities: 18.4 kWh and 41.46 kWh. The former provides an 85km pure electric range, while the latter offers two options: 170km and 185km. The combined range exceeds 1500km.
All-New Nio ES8: A Luxury SUV with Upgraded Tech
The new Nio ES8 is already on pre-sale, with three models available. Pre-sale prices range from ¥416,800 to ¥456,800. With the battery rental plan, the price starts from ¥308,800. The car measures 5280mm (L), 2010mm (W), and 1800mm (H), with a 3130mm wheelbase. It also has a 230L front trunk and a 547L rear trunk.
Inside, the front cabin gets an upgrade with the same Skyline screen as the Nio ET9. It runs on the SkyOS·Tianji all-domain operating system and has a 38-inch AR HUD. The interior comes in both 6-seat and 7-seat layouts. In terms of power, the new ES8 uses an all-domain 900V high-voltage platform. It is equipped with a 180 kW front induction motor and a 340 kW rear SiC permanent magnet motor. The combined maximum power is 520 kW, with a peak torque of 700 Nm. The vehicle comes with a 102 kWh battery, giving it a CLTC range of 635km.
