We have learned from several channels that the new GAC AION i60 will officially launch in November. GAC AION has already filed this new model with two powertrain options: a range-extended version and a pure electric version. The former uses a 1.5-liter range-extender system, while details for the latter currently only cover its single-motor setup.<\/p>

Based on its size, GAC AION positions the i60 as a compact SUV. The company expects the starting price to be very competitive, potentially under 140,000 RMB.<\/p>

Design and Options<\/strong><\/h4>

Based on previously released filing photos, the range-extended and pure electric versions of the AION i60 share nearly identical exterior designs. Both feature a clean, closed-off front grille. The design adds chrome decorative pieces to the sides of the front bumper.<\/p>

The vehicle also features a roof rack and multi-spoke wheels. Buyers can choose between hidden and semi-hidden door handles. Some trim levels will even feature a roof-mounted LiDAR unit for advanced driver assistance. At the rear, the AION i60 uses a full-width taillight design with the “AION” logo in the center.<\/p>

Two Powertrains to Choose From<\/strong><\/h4>

The AION i60 will offer customers two distinct new energy vehicle solutions. Both versions share the same dimensions (4685\/1854\/1660 mm) and a 2775 mm wheelbase in a 5-seat layout.<\/p>
