Official: Mercedes-Benz VLE Electric MPV Debuts March 10 – 8 Seats & 800V

Recently, we obtained a set of spy shots of the domestically produced all-new pure electric Mercedes-Benz VLE.

Notably, Fujian Benz will manufacture this vehicle in China. Following the VLE, the brand will also launch the VLS series. Significantly, the new car serves as the first model built on Mercedes-Benz’s brand-new VAN.EA pure electric architecture platform. It supports 800V high-voltage charging, offers both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, and provides a maximum of 8 seats.

According to reports, the all-new pure electric Mercedes-Benz VLE will make its global debut on March 10.

Exterior: Illuminated Grille and Sleek Profile

Previously, officials released teaser images.

  • Lighting: The headlights adopt the family’s latest styling, featuring two three-pointed star shapes inside, with a through-type light strip above.
  • Grille: We expect the vehicle to adopt a closed grille, and current outlines suggest it will offer an illuminated effect.
  • Color: In addition, the teaser showcased a brown paint finish, presenting a premium feel.

Based on the spy shots, the inclined front windshield transitions smoothly into the gently sloping roof. Visually, the overall waistline sits higher than the current V-Class, and the window area looks more compact.

  • Rear: The rear features a small spoiler and vertically arranged taillights.

Performance: Tested from Stuttgart to Rome

Combining previous news, the new car has already completed wind tunnel experiments, high-speed tests, and extreme dynamic tests.

Impressively, during a 1,100km long-distance test from Stuttgart to Rome, the vehicle required only two 15-minute fast charging sessions to reach its destination. Furthermore, its rear-wheel active steering system demonstrated significant advantages in mountain curves and narrow Italian streets.

Finally, regarding the interior, the car will feature Mercedes’ latest MB.OS system.
