We now have the first official images of the Geely Galaxy Xingyao 7. The photos come from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). This is a brand-new sedan from Geely’s popular Galaxy lineup. It continues the design language of the Galaxy Xingyao 6. However, it features a larger body and a 1.5-liter plug-in hybrid powertrain.

Design exterior

The front of the Galaxy Xingyao 7 looks familiar. It generally continues the design of the Xingyao 6. The car’s face features a prominent grille with vertical slats. It also has a pair of slim, modern headlights.

At the rear, the Galaxy Xingyao 7 uses a full-width taillight design. However, the shape of the lights is distinct from the Xingyao 6. Geely has also fitted a newly styled rear bumper. A badge on the right side of the trunk clearly identifies the car as the “Galaxy Xingyao 7.”

A Significant Increase in Size

The Galaxy Xingyao 7 is a much larger car than its sibling. Here are the dimensions:

• Galaxy Xingyao 7: 4958 mm long, 1915 mm wide, 1505 mm tall, with a 2852 mm wheelbase.
• Galaxy Xingyao 6: 4806 mm long, 1886 mm wide, 1490 mm tall, with a 2756 mm wheelbase.

This comparison shows a clear increase in overall size. This promises more interior space. The new model will also offer a choice of 17-inch, 18-inch, and 19-inch wheels.

Powertrain Details

The Geely Galaxy Xingyao 7 will use a 1.5-liter plug-in hybrid system. The engine has a maximum power output of 82 kW. This is the same as the engine in the Galaxy Xingyao 6.

The car uses a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack. However, Geely has not yet announced the specific battery capacity or the all-electric driving range.
