On October 11th, BYD announced the official launch of the new Han DM and Han EV Long Range editions. These new models bring significant increases in electric range and several interior refinements.

The Han DM adds a new model with a 245 km pure electric range (CLTC). The Han EV introduces two new long-range versions with 635 km and 705 km of range (CLTC).

Pricing is highly competitive:

• Han DM Long Range (4 trims): Official price starts at 169,800 RMB. With a “Super Trade-in Subsidy,” the starting price drops to 159,800 RMB.
• Han EV Long Range (3 trims): Official price starts at 183,800 RMB. With the subsidy, the starting price is 173,800 RMB.

Exterior and Interior Refinements

The exterior design of the Han Long Range editions is largely the same as the 2025 model. However, BYD has introduced three new optional paint colors: Rime Gold, Pine Green, and Far Peak Blue.

The most significant change is inside. The Han Long Range models now feature a new column-mounted gear selector. This replaces the traditional electronic shifter on the center console. This change frees up space, allowing for a redesigned console with a dual phone slot (one with wireless charging) and a single row of physical buttons.

Other interior updates include a switch from high-gloss black to matte-finish trim panels. High-end trims also get a new two-tone leather steering wheel and an in-car refrigerator.

Advanced Features Across the Trims

The new models offer different levels of BYD’s “DiPilot” advanced driver-assistance system.

• DiPilot 300 (with LiDAR): This top-tier system is standard on the highest-trim DM and EV “Flagship” models.
• DiPilot 100 (Trinocular Vision): This system is standard on mid-tier DM and EV models. It is available as an option on the base model DM.

The DiSus-C intelligent damping body control system is standard on all Han DM Long Range models (except the base trim) and all Han EV Long Range models.

Han DM Long Range (PHEV): This model uses the 1.5T DM-i plug-in hybrid system. The engine produces 115 kW, and the electric motor produces 200 kW and 315 N·m of torque. These specs are the same as the 2025 model. The CLTC pure electric range is 245 km.

Han EV Long Range (Pure Electric): The new EV models offer two range options: 635 km e 705 km. Both versions feature an upgraded electric motor that produces 170 kW of power and 360 N·m of torque. This is a notable increase compared to the motors in the existing 506 km (150 kW) and 605 km (168 kW) versions.
