The Ultimate All-Rounder: BMW M3 Touring Set for Nov 1 Debut

The wait is finally over. BMW has officially announced that the M3 Touring will launch in China on November 1st. This isn’t just another new car; it’s the first high-performance ‘M’ wagon BMW has ever brought to the market, engineered to be the “ultimate all-rounder” that fuses racetrack DNA with everyday practicality.

Aggressive M Styling Meets Carbon Fiber

Visually, the M3 Touring is pure performance. Up front, it features the iconic M horizontal double-slat grille, which isn’t just for looks—it efficiently funnels cool air to the engine. The car’s wide-body design and high-gloss black side skirts optimize airflow and create a muscular stance. Around the back, quad 100mm exhaust tips signal the potent power within.

Furthermore, performance DNA is visible in the details. The M3 Touring is draped in carbon fiber components, including the polygonal intakes, mirror caps, rear diffuser, and roof spoiler. These elements not only sharpen its sporty look but also make airflow more efficient, striking a perfect balance between lightweight design and aesthetics.

A Cabin for Speed and Space

Inside, the blend of performance and practicality continues. The M Carbon fiber seats provide both lightweight support for spirited driving and surprising comfort for long journeys.

However, the real magic is behind the driver. The M3 Touring offers a generous 500 liters of luggage space, which expands to a massive 1500 liters with the seats folded down. It also features an independently opening rear window for quick access. This practicality completely redefines what a high-performance car can be. It effortlessly accommodates track-day helmets, weekend camping gear, or a full set of family luggage.

With this much space, there’s no more compromise. It’s the perfect vehicle to load up with your HiLUCK adventure coolers and bags for a spontaneous getaway, proving that you can have a track-ready car that also fits your entire life.

The “King of Engines”

Under the hood, the M3 Touring boasts the legendary 3.0-liter inline-six twin-turbo engine, often called the “King of Engines.” It produces a staggering 390 kW (530 horsepower) and launches the wagon from 0-100km/h in just 3.6 seconds (or 3.3 seconds with a 1-foot rollout).

This powertrain shares technology with the M4 GT3 Evo race car, giving it both explosive power and incredible endurance. Its closed-deck crankcase ensures high strength, while a forged lightweight crankshaft reduces rotational inertia. Critically, the cylinder head core uses 3D printing to create optimized cooling channels—an innovation impossible with traditional casting. This, combined with 350-bar direct injection and twin-turbos, makes the M3 Touring a purebred M car that shines on the track and excels in daily driving.

Precision Tuned for Any Road

Every system on the M3 Touring has been rigorously tested at tracks like the Nürburgring, Nardò, and Sachsenring. The goal was to ensure precision and passion could coexist.

As a result, the chassis is incredibly rigid, featuring multiple reinforcements at the rear, a perfect 50:50 weight distribution, and high torsional stiffness. This creates that familiar, responsive “M feeling,” where power and control feel like one. For those who want to explore the limits, the 10-stage M Traction Control and M Drift Analyzer are standard, proving that a wagon can, indeed, drift.
