On September 25th, BYD officially launched the second-generation Qin PLUS “Entry” model, sending another shockwave through the auto market. Available in both a DM-i (plug-in hybrid) and an EV (all-electric) powertrain, the new vehicle is ready to redefine value. The DM-i model starts at an astonishingly low ¥79,800, while the EV model starts from just ¥89,800.

The rear continues the popular full-width taillight design, which showcases an intricate “Chinese Knot” pattern, a signature of the Dynasty series.

To add to its appeal, BYD introduces a brand-new “Star River Beige” paint color, offering a touch of elegance. This joins the existing palette of popular choices like Snowy White, Time Gray, Ice Jade Green, and White Glaze Green.

Regarding driver aids, the Entry model includes essentials like rear parking sensors and cruise control, but it forgoes the advanced “DiPilot” camera systems found on higher trims.
