On November 3rd, the all-new Mercedes-Benz pure electric long-wheelbase (LWB) CLA officially launched. The new lineup includes three configurations, with an official price range of 249,000 to 299,900 RMB. This starting price is 10,000 RMB lower than the previously announced pre-sale price, making it a very aggressive competitor.

The main configuration differences between the trims are features like urban Navigate on Autopilot (NOA), a 14-inch passenger entertainment screen, and the AMG body styling package. Design, Aerodynamics, and LWB Comfort

Next-Generation Interior with MB.OS

Inside, the car features a brand-new triple-screen design. This setup includes a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch central control screen, and a 14-inch passenger entertainment screen.

It will run the new MB.OS operating system. This powerful new system enables MBUX immersive navigation. It also features a new Mercedes Virtual Assistant, which integrates 3D graphics and the “Doubao” AI large model. This allows for advanced voice interaction, multi-zone commands, and full-scene interruption.

800V MMA Platform and 866km Range

The LWB CLA single-motor high-power version has a max power of 272 horsepower. A low-power version with 224 horsepower is also available. The car uses an 89 kWh ternary lithium battery. This delivers an incredible 866 km CLTC range. Its energy consumption is also just 10.9 kWh per 100 km.

Finally, based on its price and brand, the electric CLA’s core competitor is the Tesla Model 3. The new CLA is 43mm longer than the Model 3, but its wheelbase is 45mm shorter.
