On September 23rd, the new AITO M7 officially launched. It offers both pure electric and extended-range powertrains, along with 5- and 6-seat versions, with a total of 12 models. Prices range from \u00a5279,800 to \u00a5379,800. The high-end models feature a 192-line LiDAR and the HUAWEI ADS 4+ advanced driver-assistance system. Additionally, the vehicle received several upgrades to its comfort amenities, including a zero-gravity driver’s seat, a rear entertainment screen, and an onboard fridge\/warmer. The pure electric model has a maximum CLTC range of 710 km, while the extended-range model boasts a maximum combined range of 1625 km.<\/p>

First, in terms of exterior design, the new AITO M7<\/a> follows a minimalist aesthetic, inheriting the “Kunpeng” design language. You can choose from six colors: Coral Red, Island Blue, Gold Black, Warm Cloud White, Forest Green, and Star Blue. For instance, the new “Coral Red” color, inspired by deep-sea red coral, is crafted using a five-layer pearlescent paint process. Similarly, the new “Island Blue” draws inspiration from the clear waters of the Maldives. The front design, inspired by the “Kunpeng Spreading its Wings,” extends outwards with a low nose and a family-style grille. This greatly enhances its recognition. The headlights have a “Star Ring Double Wing” design. Both the front and rear lights feature dynamic welcome functions. When unlocked, the front lights flash twice, then position lights gradually brighten and turn signals flash, eventually streaming from the corners to the ends. This creates a tall and stable stance. The hood lines and side “water cut” lines are fluid and sharp, and the lower character line on the side sweeps up quickly, creating a sense of speed. All models come standard with electric soft-close doors. Furthermore, the semi-hidden door handles are designed for better aerodynamics, effectively lowering the drag coefficient. For safety, the handles include an independent collision-unlock backup module. They use a triple-redundancy unlocking method (electric, capacitive, and mechanical), while an anti-pinch design ensures safe operation. In addition, the new AITO M7<\/a> offers four wheel options: 20-inch sport wheels, 21-inch low-drag “starburst” wheels, 21-inch sport wheels, and 21-inch “Xuan-Yao” sport wheels.<\/p>

The rear taillight is a minimalist light bar that mirrors the chrome trim on the front. On each side, symmetric “star wing” shapes have embedded light textures. These are made of dense circular light particles, which create a three-dimensional light effect from different angles. The taillights flow from the center outwards when unlocked and from the ends inward when locked. Finally, the new M7 also offers a “Black Obsidian” package. This includes black front and rear emblems, light strips, body trim, window trim, roof rails, and mirror bases. This, along with the 21-inch “Xuan-Yao” sport wheels and red calipers, gives it a sporty look. The vehicle is 5080mm long, 1999mm wide, and 1780mm high, with a 3030mm wheelbase.<\/p>

Interior and Smart Cockpit<\/strong><\/h4>

The new AITO M7 continues the classic wrap-around cockpit design. You can choose from four interior color options: Star Cloud Red, Apricot, Auburn Orange, and Truffle Brown. The cabin features a 16.1-inch 3K center screen, a 10.25-inch passenger screen, and a digital instrument cluster. Furthermore, the passenger screen has a dedicated UX design, redefining the right-side toolbar for better usability. The “Xiaoyi” smart assistant is deeply integrated with DeepSeek. The “Chat Along 2.0” feature can answer over 300 types of geographic questions. The main screen supports two-finger control for volume, fan speed, and temperature. The second row has a 17.3-inch top-mounted entertainment screen that supports touch, voice, and remote control. Paired with a streaming media rearview mirror, it ensures the driver\u2019s rear visibility isn\u2019t blocked. In addition, the vehicle adds four external microphones (two in the front, two in the back) to enhance “Sentry Mode.” When an anomaly is detected, users can have a real-time voice conversation with the car via their phone. The system also separates in-cabin and out-of-cabin audio to prevent accidental voice commands from outside, enhancing voice interaction safety.<\/p>

Seating and Storage<\/strong><\/h4>

The seats in the new AITO M7 use a 10-layer comfort design and come standard with ventilation, heating, and massage functions. The driver’s zero-gravity seat has 16-way power adjustments and can recline flat, with a four-way power leg rest. The passenger seat has 14-way power adjustments, its backrest can recline up to 97 degrees, and it also has a four-way power leg rest. The second-row seats in all models come standard with ventilation, heating, and massage. The controls are integrated into the door armrests. The cabin has a flip-up storage box, hollowed-out storage, armrest storage, an in-car glasses case, and multiple phone charging areas. New features include a grab handle on the ceiling and second-row sunshades. The second-row armrests include dual cup holders, a storage box, and a Type-C charging port. Additionally, the enlarged side sunshades in the second row provide 98% physical coverage, and the shade cloth has a 93% light-blocking rate.<\/p>

In terms of space, the five-seat version has a second-row seating space of 1030mm and 1965mm of legroom. The six-seat version has a second-row seating space of 2615mm, with 870mm of legroom, and a third-row legroom of 810mm. For storage, the five-seat version offers 38 storage compartments, while the six-seat version has 46. The rear-wheel-drive EV has a 145L front trunk that can fit two 20-inch or one 24-inch suitcase. It supports “Knock-Knock” double-tap open and soft-close. Also, the car supports a “loading mode,” which lowers the front air suspension by 50mm for easier access to the front trunk. The five-seat version has an 850L rear trunk, which expands to 2145L with the second row folded, and also includes a 107L hidden compartment. In contrast, the six-seat version has a 312L trunk, expanding to 1136L with the third row folded, also with a hidden compartment. The new car also features an onboard fridge\/warmer with a compressor. It can cool from 0-15\u00b0C and heat from 35-50\u00b0C. Its 7.3L capacity can hold eight cans of soda.<\/p>

Advanced Driving and Safety<\/strong><\/h4>

The new AITO M7 comes with the HUAWEI ADS 4+ advanced driver-assistance system. It has 30 high-precision sensors, including one 192-line LiDAR, one high-precision solid-state LiDAR, three 4D millimeter-wave radars, two 4D millimeter-wave corner radars, 11 cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars. This allows for 360\u00b0 all-weather sensing and can detect suspended objects and negative obstacles behind the car. Its ability to recognize objects in rain, fog, and dust is improved, and parking assistance is also enhanced. The mid-level trims will debut an in-cabin \u043b\u0430\u0437\u0435\u0440<\/a> vision solution. This system uses an in-cabin laser, three millimeter-wave radars, 11 cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars. It can detect objects in poor lighting and identify irregular obstacles. It also supports general obstacle detection, enhanced recognition of objects on a “whitelist” (like two-wheeled vehicles and pedestrians), and improved forward\/backward AEB performance. Future OTA updates will add side collision prevention, mistaken accelerator pedal mitigation, and Emergency Steering Assist (ESA).<\/p>

For safety, the vehicle is equipped with nine airbags. The front driver and passenger seats have dual-pretensioner, dual-load-limiting seatbelts, and a dual-chamber remote airbag provides protection for front passengers. The entire lineup has standard supercapacitors and semi-hidden door handles. This, along with the driver assistance hardware, enables the “Omnidirectional Anti-Collision 4.0” feature. The car’s body uses 2000MPa submarine-grade thermoformed steel in 12 key areas. Thermoformed steel makes up 34.5% of the core body structure, while high-strength materials account for 83.7% of the main structural components. The entire core passenger cabin is 100% submarine-grade thermoformed steel. Thanks to the Huawei DATS active anti-slip control on the “Tuling” platform, the car remains stable on wet or slippery roads, as it manages wheel slip with torque vectoring. This ensures safe handling and driving in rain and snow.<\/p>

The cabin also has an “anti-spill” design for buttons and controls on the door armrests, steering wheel, and center console. Based on the body’s sealing design and waterproof electronics, the car has a 700mm emergency wading depth. The entire car has an anti-pinch design. This includes the windows, electric running boards, charging port cover, and trunk door. The 17.3-inch rear entertainment screen has touch and stall anti-pinch designs, and the seats have a “Hall” motor stall anti-pinch system.<\/p>

The new AITO M7 is available in pure electric and extended-range versions. The pure EV has single-motor and dual-motor options. The single-motor RWD model has a maximum power of 227kW. The dual-motor AWD model has a maximum power of 160kW (front) and 227kW (rear). It has a ternary lithium battery. The CLTC pure electric range is 660km\/710km. As for the extended-range model, it has a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 118kW. The motors have a maximum power of 165kW (front) and 227kW (rear). Its CLTC pure electric range is 315km, with a maximum combined range of 1625km.<\/p>
