This week’s new car releases are here, covering September 22nd to September 28th. We’ll see over 30 major new vehicles launch, begin pre-orders, or debut. This includes the Honda CR-V 30th Anniversary Edition, new Geely Xingrui and Xingyue L “Oriental” trims, new Toyota Highlander and Frontlander, and Voyah Taishan. Also launching are the new Aito M7, Luxeed H5, Jetour X70L, new BYD Qin PLUS, Li Auto i6, new Volvo XC70, Mazda EZ-60, Geely Galaxy Xingyao 6, and the Buick Electra L7. New Aito M7
The new Aito M7 has already started its pre-orders, with 12 models available. There are six extended-range versions, with pre-sale prices from ¥288,000 to ¥368,000. Additionally, the six all-electric versions are priced from ¥328,000 to ¥388,000. The new Aito M7 follows a minimalist aesthetic and inherits the “Kunpeng” design genes. It offers six exterior colors, including Coral Red, Island Blue, and Gilded Black. In terms of size, the vehicle is 5080mm long, 1999mm wide, and 1780mm high, with a 3030mm wheelbase.
Inside, the new Aito M7 is equipped with a 16.1-inch 3K central screen, a 10.25-inch passenger screen, and a digital instrument cluster. Furthermore, the second row has a roof-mounted 17.3-inch entertainment screen. The new Aito M7 also comes with the HUAWEI ADS 4 driver assistance system, which includes a 192-line LiDAR and 30 high-precision sensors.
For power, the new Aito M7 offers both pure electric and extended-range powertrains. The pure electric version comes with a single or dual-motor setup. The single-motor RWD version has a maximum power of 227kW, while the dual-motor AWD version has a maximum power of 160kW (front) and 227kW (rear). They are equipped with a ternary lithium battery pack, providing CLTC pure electric ranges of 660km and 710km. The extended-range version features a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 118kW. The motors have a maximum power of 165kW (front) and 227kW (rear). Its CLTC pure electric range is 315km, and its maximum combined range is 1625km.
Luxeed H5
The Luxeed H5 has already started its pre-sale, with six trims available. The pre-sale price ranges from ¥169,800 to ¥209,800. Luxeed is a collaboration between SAIC and Huawei, and the H5 is part of the “Fifth Realm” series under Harmony Intelligent Mobility. The vehicle is 4780mm long, 1910mm wide, and 1664mm high, with a 2840mm wheelbase, positioning it as a mid-size SUV. The interior of the Luxeed H5 features a dual-layer wrap-around design, and it is equipped with a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch central screen.
The Max version has a LiDAR unit, therefore supporting the HUAWEI ADS 4 driver assistance system. The Pro version uses the basic HUAWEI ADS system. For power, the Luxeed H5 offers both extended-range and pure electric options. The extended-range model uses an SAIC DMH 1.5L range-extending engine with a combined power of 150kW. It has a 32.6kWh battery pack, providing a 235km pure electric range and a total range of 1360km. In addition, the pure electric version is a single-motor model with maximum power outputs of 150kW and 180kW. It is equipped with a 64.6kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, with CLTC pure electric ranges of 525km and 535km. It can also be equipped with an 80kWh ternary lithium battery pack, providing CLTC pure electric ranges of 640km and 655km.
Li Auto i6
The Li Auto i6 is 4950mm long, 1935mm wide, and 1655mm high, with a 3000mm wheelbase. It is positioned as a mid-to-large-size SUV. While it is a 5-seater SUV, the rear row is equipped with a foldable screen. Compared to the Li Auto i8, the Li Auto i6 is expected to have a more attractive price point, targeting the ¥250,000 to ¥300,000 market.
For power, the Li Auto i6 is built on an 800V high-voltage pure electric architecture. It is equipped with a self-developed silicon carbide motor and offers both RWD and AWD options. The single-motor RWD version has a maximum power of 250kW. It uses an 87.3kWh 5C LFP battery, offering two ranges: 710km and 720km. The dual-motor AWD version has a front motor with 150kW and a rear motor with 250kW, with a combined power of 400kW. It also uses an 87.3kWh 5C LFP battery, providing a range of 660km. For charging, the new car can add 500km of range in just 10 minutes.
