Volkswagen has released design sketches for a new all-electric SUV concept, which will make its first public appearance at the Munich International Auto Show. This new compact electric SUV is a direct evolution of the ID.2all concept, and its production version will target the entry-level market.

Design & Platform

The design sketches show a boxy, square-shaped vehicle with a full-width light bar that includes an illuminated VW logo. On the side, the car features sculpted wheel arches and large wheels, giving it a bold and exaggerated look. The rear also has a full-width light bar, with horizontal lines that add a sense of depth and layered design. Although the sketches don’t show details like door handles, the production version will likely have a more conventional design.

The new SUV will be built on the MEB Entry platform, sharing its technical architecture with the production versions of the ID.Every1 and ID.2all. Volkswagen will likely offer both front-wheel and all-wheel drive options, with single or dual-motor configurations. We will continue to follow for more details about this exciting new vehicle.
