Recently, insider channels revealed the dealer pre-deduction procurement prices for the next-generation BYD Tang. Dealerships currently offer only two rear-wheel-drive configurations for wholesale ordering. The 850km RWD Laser Honor Edition carries a procurement price of 225,000 RMB. Meanwhile, the 850km RWD Laser Flagship Edition costs 240,000 RMB. Dealerships cannot procure all-wheel-drive variants at this stage. According to previous reports, BYD plans to officially launch the vehicle within the fourth quarter.
Exterior Styling and Dimensions: Inspired by Flagship “Da Tang” Aesthetics

Visually, the next-generation Tang draws heavy design cues from the flagship “Da Tang” styling language. A closed front grille pairs with swept-back headlights and a full-width chrome trim strip. This layout gives the front fascia a bold, modern appearance. The vehicle measures 5,045 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,760 mm in height. It rides on a 2,950 mm wheelbase. At the rear, a continuous taillight assembly integrates the central BYD logo. A prominent roof spoiler above adds layered visual depth. Exterior paint options include Singing Sand Gold, Thousand Mountains Green, Vast Ocean Blue, and Rock Grey. Buyers can also choose multiple two-tone body finishes.
Spaceship-Inspired Cockpit and Modular Full-Bed Layout

The interior takes inspiration from sci-fi spaceship control consoles. Buyers can select between Dune Beige and Danxia Orange cabin themes. An integrated multi-screen setup anchors the dashboard. A narrow full-LCD strip sits directly above the central screen. It clearly displays multimedia playback, weather updates, inclinometer data, and gear modes. Notably, users can easily detach the front headrests. The front backrests then fold flat with the rear seat cushions to form a full bed. This flexible layout easily accommodates diverse rest and outdoor travel needs.
Powertrain, 850km CLTC Range, and Standard DiSus-A Air Suspension

Under the hood, the single-motor model delivers a maximum output of 300 kW. The SUV offers two battery pack options: 88.682 kWh and 105.792 kWh. Under CLTC testing conditions, pure electric driving ranges reach 730 km, 830 km, and 850 km. Furthermore, the new Tang equips the Eye of the Gods B intelligent driving suite as standard equipment. It also standardizes the DiSus-A intelligent air body control system. This advanced chassis incorporates dual-chamber air suspension and intelligent road preview technology. These systems allow the vehicle to respond instantly to road surface variations.
