On July 16, Xpeng Motors held the global launch event for the highly anticipated Xpeng MONA L03 in Munich, Germany. Setting its sights on the international market, the new vehicle will be available in 64 countries and regions. The pure electric (BEV) version boasts a CLTC range of 525 to 625 km, while the extended-range (EREV) version offers a CLTC battery range of 315 km. Designed as a global model tailored for the younger generation, the MONA L03 features a single-motor, rear-wheel-drive layout delivering a maximum power of 183 kW and a peak torque of 280 N·m. The high-end variants pack a serious technological punch, equipped with dual Turing AI chips that support Xpeng’s second-generation VLA (Vision Language Architecture) assisted driving system.

Thanks to 22 meticulous aerodynamic optimizations, the MONA L03 achieves an ultra-low drag coefficient of just 0.228, which extends the driving range by up to 59.3 km.

A Cabin Built for the Future

The interior is offered in two themes: Space Gray and Cosmic Gray. Over 72% of the cabin is covered in soft-touch materials, paired with a velvet headliner and a sprawling 1.31-square-meter double-layer silver-plated panoramic glass roof.

The tech setup is equally impressive, featuring a 15.6-inch 2.5K ultra-HD central screen and a 26.8-inch W-HUD (Head-Up Display). Most impressively, the cabin features 23 unique expansion interfaces, including 4 pegboard mounts for camping, five 1/4-inch camera threads, 8 traceless magnetic mounts, 2 seatback interfaces, and 3 smart expansion slots for purifiers or diffusers.

Under the hood, buyers can choose between pure electric and extended-range powertrains:

• EREV (Extended Range): Features a 1.5L engine (70 kW) and a 183 kW drive motor, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds. It boasts a combined CLTC range of 1,330 km, a WLTC fuel consumption of 5.16L/100km, and can charge from 30% to 80% in just 10.1 minutes with its 37.2kWh battery.
• BEV (Pure Electric): Hits 0-100 km/h in 6.6 seconds with an incredibly low power consumption of 11.9 kWh/100km. It offers either 525 km or 625 km of range depending on the battery (56 kWh or 69 kWh), with ultra-fast charging capabilities (15.8 minutes and 19.1 minutes for 30-80% and 10-80% charges, respectively).

For handling, the L03 is equipped with MacPherson front and five-link independent rear suspension, a minimum turning radius of 5.25 meters, DCC intelligent variable damping, and a smart Anti-Motion Sickness Mode 2.0.
